Early 2000s Disney Channel fans get the best of both worlds in the new season of Selena Gomez' HBO Max cooking series, Selena + Chef.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the amateur chef (and Disney alum!) heads to her beach vacation house in Malibu for season 4, out Thursday, as she learns new recipes from all-star chefs. Gomez gives a tour of the beach house in a new video shared Thursday by HBO Max to celebrate the release of the new season.
The house, which might look familiar to some viewers, was featured in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. In the clip, the Rare Beauty founder explains that she wanted to go to Malibu because it's one of her and her friends' "favorite spots," but they "never get to spend time here." The interior is much more modern this time. "This is not my kitchen, so it's been interesting getting to know it," Gomez says during the tour.
The Grammy-winning singer revealed the cameras that are set up around the room, including a go-pro mounted above the stove to capture everything. She explains that this camera is helpful when the chefs she's working with are dialed in via video call, instead of present in the actual space with her, so they can see everything in real time.
As per the report, season 4 chefs will include Adrienne Cheatham, Devonn Francis, Gordon Ramsay, Kristen Kish, Ludo Lefebvre, Matty Matheson, Nick DiGiovanni, Paola Velez, Priya Krishna, and Rachael Ray. The first three episodes of the new season are available on HBO Max. New episodes will air every Thursday.
