Akshay Kumar plays a prank on Cuttputtli co-star Rakul Preet Singh; leaves her stranded in a puddle

Fans are aware about how much of a prankster Akshay Kumar is. The actor recently shared a glimpse of it to his fans and social media followers. The actor is gearing up for the much talked about OTT release Cuttputtli, which is a remake of the South suspense-thriller Ratasasan. While promoting the same, he recently shared a quirky video with co-star Rakul Preet Singh on social media where he seems to be playing a rather funny prank on the actress.

Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to share this video with Rakul Preet Singh saying, “It was all fun and games until someone decided to play mind games ???? Make your fun reels with a twist on #Saathiya ❤️ Looking forward to sharing the best ones ????” The fun video featured Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh walking hand-in-hand like 80s lovers as the song from Cuttputtli, ‘Saathiya’ plays in the background. As they come across a puddle, Akshay turns a beloved partner and starts placing bricks for Rakul to avoid the puddle. As soon as she reaches the center of puddle, Akshay leaves her stranded as he runs away with the brick. He also later uses the sentence from the OTT show saying, “Killer ke saath power nahi, mind games khelna chahiye.”

Speaking about the film, Cuttputtli is directed by Ranjit M Tewari and also features Chandrachur Singh, Sargun Mehta amongst others. Set against the backdrop of Kasauli, the film will feature Akshay Kumar in the role of a cop, who is on a mission to hunt down a serial killer. Produced by Pooja Entertainment, the film is slated to release on September 2, 2022 only on OTT, Disney+Hotstar.
