In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Naga Chaitanya was asked with whom he has the best on-screen chemistry and he quickly responded, "Samantha". Further, when asked which Telugu film of his he feels can be remade in Hindi, he said, Majili. The 2019 romantic drama also starred Samantha and Divyansha Kaushik.

Chaitanya also expressed interest in working with Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt when asked about the ‘Bollywood actress’ he is excited to work with. "I love their performances. So if I ever get an opportunity I would love to share screen space with them in some way," he added.

Chaitanya and Samantha announced the end of their four-year marriage in October last year. Recently while promoting his film Bangarraju he told the media, "It is ok to be separated. That is a mutual decision made for their individual happiness. If she is happy, then I am happy. So divorce is the best decision in such a situation."
