BMC shares a scene from the trailer of Deepika Padukone starrer Gehraiyaan to spread a message
The team of Gehraiyaan launched the trailer of the film on Thursday afternoon. Directed by Shakun Batra, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa. Gehraiyaan is a relationship drama that looks beneath the surface of complex modern relationships, adulting, letting go, and taking control of ones’ life path. Soon after the trailer was dropped, it started trending on social media, with fans discussing the trailer and the film.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) shared a scene from the trailer of Gehraiyaan on their social media handles to spread a message. The Mumbai civic body took the opportunity to remind the residents of the city to dispose waste wisely. The scene features Deepika Padukone schooling her partner, essayed by Dhairya Karwa, for not throwing garbage properly. Sharing the scene, BMC wrote, "Understand the ‘Geheraiyaan’ of the situation and dispose waste wisely. #BetterHalfOfMumbai #SwachhMumbai #SegregateWaste #WasteManagement".

Jointly produced by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Shakun Batra’s Jouska Films, Gehraiyaan will have its World Premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The film also features Rajat Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles.
